Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger

A heat pipe heat exchanger generally adopts a gravity heat-pipe configuration. When the hot end (evaporator section) of the gravity heat pipe absorbs heat from the hot airflow passing through it, the high-saturation vapor generated by the volatile liquid inside the pipe flows toward the cold end (condenser section). The cold airflow absorbs the heat released by the vapor and causes it to condense; the resulting condensate then returns to the evaporator section by gravity. This completes the evaporation-to-condensation cycle and, with it, the entire heat exchange process.

Structural Features

1. Adopts a copper-tube / aluminum-fin structure, featuring low air resistance, effective condensate drainage, and higher corrosion resistance.
2. The heat exchanger frame is made of zero-spangle galvanized steel sheet specified for air-conditioning use, giving the whole unit better anti-corrosion and durability.
3. No cross-contamination between supply and exhaust air, with high heat recovery efficiency.
4. Filled with a special medium inside the tubes — non-corrosive, safer, and more reassuring to use.
5. No moving parts and no energy consumption, with virtually no maintenance cost.
6. Convenient and reliable operation, easy to clean, and long service life.
7. Two structural configurations available: vertical and horizontal.

Applications of the Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger

Air duct:
The heat pipe heat exchanger or its functional section can be connected directly to the air duct. Installation is simple and convenient. While achieving energy recovery, it also reduces capital investment.
Fresh air ventilator:
The heat pipe heat exchanger can be installed horizontally inside the fresh air ventilator. Energy recovery is achieved through the operation of the supply fan and exhaust fan.
Combined air handling unit:
The heat pipe heat exchanger is widely installed in combined air handling units, where it not only recovers energy from the return air but also provides dehumidification and reheat functions according to the functional configuration.

Applications of the Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger

Ductwork:
The heat pipe heat exchanger or its functional section can be connected directly to the ductwork. Installation is simple and convenient. While achieving energy recovery, it also saves investment (capital cost).
Fresh Air Ventilator:
The heat pipe heat exchanger can be installed horizontally in the fresh air ventilator; energy recovery is achieved through the operation of the supply fan and exhaust fan.
Combined Air Handling Unit:
The heat pipe heat exchanger is widely installed in combined air handling units (AHUs); it can recover energy from the return air and, depending on the functional configuration, also perform dehumidification and reheat functions.
