Heat Recovery Wheel Unit

The rotor of the rotary total heat exchanger rotates continuously at 10 rpm. The continuously rotating rotor serves as a heat-storage or cold-storage core. Fresh air passes through one semi-circle of the rotary heat exchanger, while exhaust air simultaneously flows counter-currently through the other semi-circle of the rotor. In this way, fresh air and exhaust air pass through the rotor alternately and in opposite directions, and the exhaust air releases its heat into the heat-storage or cold-storage core.

High-Temperature Heat Recovery Wheel:

In industrial applications, exhaust air often exceeds 120°C. In such cases, we use high-temperature-resistant aluminum foil and stainless steel as the wheel material to recover high-temperature waste heat.

Working Principle:

The wheel core features a honeycomb structure. Cold air and hot air enter the upper and lower sides of the wheel respectively. As the wheel rotates continuously, it is heated by the exhaust air stream, and when it turns to the fresh-air side it transfers the heat to the lower-temperature fresh air. By this method, up to 75% of the thermal energy in the exhaust air can be recovered and reused.

Features:

1.  ECW type withstands temperatures up to 300°C.
2. The casing is made of steel plate and stainless steel.
3. The heat-storage core is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy or chromite steel foil.
4. Load-bearing steel-plate casing, welded inside and out, and insulated.
