Rotor Launches Modular Building-block AHU Series for Large Public and Industrial Building Air-conditioning Systems

Modular air-handling units (AHUs) are important pieces of equipment in central air-conditioning systems, widely used in large public buildings and industrial buildings such as hospitals, shopping malls, airports, electronics factories, pharmaceutical workshops, and commercial complexes. Rotor has recently launched a modular AHU series, using a "building-block" structural design that combines different functional sections such as filtration, heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification, heat recovery, and silencing as required.

The advantages of modular design lie in free combination as required, convenient transportation, flexible installation, and simple maintenance. Rotor's custom-built units freely combine common detachable functional sections — filter section, heating section, cooling section, humidification section, dehumidification section, heat-recovery section, silencing section, mixing section, etc. — according to customer requirements. The cabinet uses aluminum-alloy or stainless-steel frames and polyurethane double-layer panels, with low leakage rate and good insulation performance. The module specifications cover airflow volumes of 2,000–80,000 m³/h, meeting the design requirements of different operating conditions in hospitals, shopping malls, airports, electronics factories, pharmaceutical workshops, etc.

The main technical highlights of Rotor's modular AHUs include: aluminum-alloy profile frame and polyurethane double-layer panel for the cabinet, providing high mechanical strength, low leakage rate, and good insulation performance; detachable panel design for easy internal cleaning, maintenance, and filter-section replacement; heating and cooling coils using copper tubes with aluminum fins or hydrophilic aluminum fins, suitable for different operating conditions; humidification sections can be configured with wet-film, high-pressure micro-mist, steam, and other humidification methods; filter sections can be configured with primary, medium, high-efficiency, and sub-HEPA four-stage filtration; silencing sections can be configured with baffle-type, tube-type, impedance-composite, and other silencers; variable-frequency, silencing, ultraviolet sterilization, and other additional functions can be selected according to customer requirements.

This series has been successively applied in projects in hospitals, shopping malls, electronics factories, pharmaceutical workshops, and commercial complexes. Rotor's technical team can cooperate with design institutes and end users on air-conditioning system cooling and heating load calculation, airflow configuration, filter-class selection, and control scheme design.
